Located in Angola, NY, NAR's O&M Team was approached by a system owner to investigate and repair a failed AC feeder. Arriving on site, NAR performed Insulation Resistance Testing (IRT) on the suspected failed feeder and confirmed an insulation failure on (A) phase. The feeders were removed and replaced and conduits sealed. Another Insulation Resistance Test was performed to confirm the new feeders were sufficient. Production was restored following installation.
